Course & Facilities

Course

From its quaint, fishing lodge-style clubhouse to its celebrated golf course, Trophy Lake Golf & Casting is a magnificent collaboration of nature and design, capturing the spirit and tradition of the Northwest through its celebration of two of the region’s most popular activities – golf and fishing.

Designed by award-winning architect John Fought, the 18-hole, championship golf course carves its way through dense, Northwest forest, offering patrons a welcomed sense of isolation and serenity befitting its location on the Kitsap Peninsula. The layout features sloping fairways, expansive greens, beautiful views of the Olympics and Mt. Rainier, and more than 80 deep-faced, white-sand bunkers strategically placed throughout the course’s 7,206 yards.

Adding to the property’s appeal, two of the on-course ponds are stocked with rainbow trout, providing a unique fly-fishing opportunity for guests. One visit and the beauty and charm of Trophy Lake will reel you in hook, line, and sinker.

Scorecard
01

Par 4

387 yards

Aim right on the opening hole to ensure a safe crossing over the three steep-faced cross bunkers that front the elevated landing area. The approach is equally challenging as a fore-bunker right and a deep greenside bunker left to guard the large green.

Par 5

585 yards

This hole is a three-shot par 5. It plays along a ridge paralleling the lake on the left. Precision is key, as the green slopes away on the sides.

03

Par 3

159 yards

Slightly downhill, this par 3 requires one of the most demanding approaches to any green on the course. While bunkers guard the front and back, the collars on the left and in the front of the green roll away into a deep hollow.

Par 4

441 yards

The landing on this par 4 is bisected by a raised plateau elevated on the left. This hole is long and difficult, making par a good score.

05

Par 3

206 yards

This long par 3 is well guarded on the right by two deep bunkers. Regardless of the hole placement, the left edge of the green is your target. The green slopes from back to front, so ensure your ball is below the pin.

Par 4

396 yards

Located on the ridge crest, this par 4 requires precision. The approach shot must be played through a set of strategically placed fore-bunkers directly in front of the putting surface. This hole features some of the best views of the entire property.

Par 5

517 yards

This par 5 dog-leg left boasts an 80-yard wide landing area bisected by a massive bunker. Reachable in two, the green is nestled between a small pond on the right and bunkers on the left, making for a nail-biting downhill second-shot approach.

Par 4

296 yards

This short par 4 will play longer than measured as it rises uphill over 35 feet. Beware of the fore-bunker approximately halfway between the turning point and the putting surface.

09

Par 4

389 yards

A fairway bunker on the left marks the best angle to approach the green of this downhill par 4. The green is long, flat, and guarded by a massive steep-faced bunker.

10

Par 4

434 yards

This long par 4 plays downhill to a wide and forgiving landing area. The high ridge on the right tends to turn shots back to the fairway. The approach shot leaves a large green surrounded by hazards.

Par 5

558 yards

A strategic bunker on the right near the first turn point on this long par 5 marks the best position to drive the ball. The second shot must be between two penal bunkers set into the ridge. The approach requires pinpoint accuracy as three greenside bunkers protect the putting surface.

Par 4

404 yards

Watch out for the wet lands on the right side when teeing off on this Par 4. The green, located more than 20 feet below the upper fairway, is relatively small and well-protected by three greenside bunkers. Stay left and enjoy the view.

Par 3

178 yards

The two deep fore-bunkers positioned on the upslope 40 yards in front of the green create an intimidating visual from the teeing area. The putting surface is quite expansive and guarded on the right by two greenside bunkers. The uphill grade will make this hole longer than it appears.

Par 4

438 yards

A pair of strategic bunkers near the turning point on the right of this slight dog-leg left mark the best position to play to the green. The putting surface rolls off on the edges, especially on the right, forcing iron shots to be deadly accurate.

Par 4

310 yards

This short par 4 will tempt longer players to take a shot at the green. Dangers await as bunkers to the left and right and a steep falloff along the left edge of the fairway and green demand caution.

16

Par 4

391 yards

A tee shot down the right side will offer the best chance to position your approach on the green safely. The putting surface is located slightly below the elevation of the landing area, surrounded on the left and in the back by the lake.

17

Par 3

135 yards

This attractive par 3 is the shortest hole on the course. The tee shot must carry over wetlands to a small, elevated green guarded on the left and right by deep bunkers.

18

Par 5

532 yards

An excellent finishing par 5, the 18th is reachable in two with an incredible drive and an accurate second. With the tee shot playing to a raised fairway, the second shot must be positioned between a creek on the right and a grassy wetland on the left.
